You may be familiar with the stylized images of birds and wildlife from Charley Harper, but you may not have seen all the wonderful cat illustrations he also created. These are some of my all time favorite pieces of cat art.

Charley Harper was an American Modernist artist who studied at the Art Academy of Cincinnati in the 1940s. His style is referred to as “minimal realism” capturing his subjects with the fewest possible elements and resulting in a beautiful graphic simplicity.

I love these (except for “Treed” which is kind of scary because I do not like dogs)!
I love Charley Harper and have several of his prints (and the book of all his work) but had somehow never seen Limp on a Limb before and I love it! Thanks for sharing!
These prints are also made into needlepoint canvases and are extremely popular in the needlepoint community….. ^..^
Love, love, love Charley Harper’s work. All his works are worth a look. But, I have to admit, the cats are pretty special.
