We’re getting ready for the third annual Mew-seum Cat Fest at the Mesa Historical Museum in Mesa, AZ! Join us for this special day of feline fun centered around the museum’s collection of cat art by Karen Kuykendall.

Cat Fest will take place on Saturday, March 21 from 10 am to 4 pm. This is a free event that includes admission to the museum featuring Karen Kuykendall’s cat art exhibit, curated by Kate Benjamin of Hauspanther. There are new pieces in the exhibit this year that have never been on display before and Kate will be giving a presentation about Karen’s cat art at 1 pm.

There will be make-and-take cat toys (while supplies last), cat coloring, over 50 vendors selling goodies for cats and cat lovers, food trucks, and cat bingo at 2:00 pm with awesome prizes. Other guest speakers include Susan Ricci, the Executive Director of the Mesa Historical Museum talking about “Cats in the Military” at 11 am and Marshall Shore, Arizona’s Hip Historian, presenting “Krazy Kat Noir: From Coconino to Pulp Fiction” at noon.

Looking for a new furry family member? There will be adoptable cats and kittens from three local rescues: Saving One Life, Kai’s Place Kitty Rescue, and Sun Cities 4 Paws Cat Rescue.

Hauspanther is really excited to be co-producing this event for the third year in a row. If you’re in Arizona I hope to see you there on the 21st!
