Well, this definitely wins the award for the most unique cat product of 2016! In case you’re looking for the perfect gift for that cat lover who already has everything, look no further. Introducing LICKI, a cat brush that lets you groom your cat like you’re licking him. Yup, you read that right.
Made from food grade silicone, LICKI is designed to be held in your mouth so you can pretend to be grooming your cat with your tongue. The packaging says that this type of grooming can be “oddly meditative” and soothing for both you and your cat.
I’m not exactly sure what to make of this idea, so please leave a comment on this post and tell me your thoughts. And if you want to try it for yourself, you can get one at lickibrush.com for $25, or get two LICKIs for $19 each with coupon code 2+lickis for a limited time.
CUTE! I can see that it would be quite therapeutic for both cat and human. But is it okay for humans’ teeth? That would be my only question.
This would be a great way for someone with limited arm mobility (or maybe an amputee?) to interact with their kitty. I think it’s nice.
Wouldn’t it be cheaper and just as effective to attach a pacifier to the back of a soft cat brush?
Ummm why? I would think that a regular brush would be more efficient and as someone above commented, unless you have no use of hands to brush your cat, this is just weird. I highly doubt the cat is getting any sensations of it being a real cat tongue licking and it’s just the same as if it had a handle and was used as a brush. I wouldn’t but this. But to those who think it’s useful – they can buy it.
