Does your cat love to hangout nearby when you’re working at your desk? My cats certainly do! Well, here’s a new concept that could make life easier. Our friends over at ContempoCat just launched a new sister company, DeskElements, offering modern, minimalist furniture and work accessories. In developing their new line of office furniture, they’ve been experimenting with workstations that integrate cats. Their concept, pictured here, uses the Ikea Stolmen pole system with an adjustable workstation for you and ContempoCat climbing steps and platforms for your cat. This workstation can be completely customized to fit your home and would be great for small spaces where floorspace is limited.
Read more about this hybrid workstation/cat tower concept on the DeskElements website. They would love to get your feedback on the idea, so please leave a comment on this post with your thoughts!

BRILLIANT!!!! =^^=
Love the idea but would like a larger work surface– wouldn’t need to be a LOT larger, maybe 25 – 30% more.
Love the idea…my daughter lives in a tiny apartment in Brooklyn and this would be perfect for her cat
Love this! but, like Colleen Carnevale posting before me, I’d require a much larger work space, both for my big desktop and for my workload.
I think this is a great idea. My mom works from home and she has cobbled together her own combination of work space and cat perches. I agree with prior comments; the workspace itself needs to be bigger. There also needs to be a bed where kitty can snooze in easy petting reach. A cup holder slightly below the level of the desk would be helpful.
The designers may want to be cautious about putting perches too high above the desk. Maybe my cats just have a weird sense of humor but I can definitely see one of my younger kitties dive-bombing from the high perch to the keyboard.
But, overall, it’s an awesome idea!
This concept is amazing! (As I look at the cat sitting beside me on the table…and the one on the floor next to me….) I must have this!!!
Great idea!
