Well, here’s a project after my own heart! As you might know, I am a breast cancer survivor (coming up on the two year anniversary of my diagnosis and treatment, actually) so when I came across Cats vs. Cancer, it definitely caught my attention. This is a new website filled with every cute cat video on the internet and all you have to do is visit the site and watch cat videos, and you’ll be raising money for cancer-related charities. Their goal is to be “the most entertaining and fun charity on the planet.” I say they’re on the right track! Visit catsvscancer.org often!
Though I’m 100% in your corner on beating the scourge, I wonder if you are aware that the charities approved by this site are engaged in the infliction of suffering, maiming and death to untold numbers of innocent living beings? I am all for the eradication of these terrible diseases, which leave no family unscathed, but I cannot support charities which cause pain and death to innocent beings. There ARE some cancer charities which do not involve these terrible actions. Maybe someone can start a cat video site for them!
