hi. this is an interesting design. it appears to help with the side cleaning and looks efficient in cleaning the bottom and sides. the circular design is interesting. that doesn’t have corners for anything to get stuck in. I think it would need to be significantly bigger. most cats like an extra large box. the cat can look out the top which is way better than a completely covered box. , but i’m not sure it is enough for easy exit and security. would love to see how it does in multi cat homes as far as the cats feeling safe to use it. What could be added to make it easier for older cats or cats with limited mobility? I appreciate the design. thank you!
Hi Jennette, love the questions. The problem is it’s top view and looks smaller. It’s far more ergonomic and spacious than a regular litter box. Purrwood forest cat sanctuary bought 12 of these in the summer to use at their no kill sanctuary, they love them 🙂 2.0 will be far better in every way and even more comfortable for cats. The hole on 2.0 is bigger than some litter boxes! It’s almost 12” diameter!

Also want to mention the other part. It’s our dream to produce an add on ramp and open version for arthritic seniors. We just cannot yet but as soon as we can we will. We have the design already set 🙂 if we kick off well on Kickstarter it’s our first priority.
Hi, I’m very intrigued by this litter box. I’m wondering if a liner can be used with this for when it’s time to change the litter completely? Also, do you have any plans on designing some type of litter genie type product to coordinate with this litter box? I’m wondering because the scoop looks very wide to be able to make it into the litter genie opening.

HI MMM,
No liner needed, we have a way you can attach a bag to the scoop and use the scoop to remove all the litter contents same as you would normally scoop. Once we get up and running with 2.0 that add-on will be available. As for the litter genie, the new scoop is wide, but it funnels now, so you can toss the waste into smaller containers. More details will be shown once we launch on Kickstarter. Also, if requested in the future we can work on an adapter to make it even easier to toss into a litter genie.

So would we! 2.0 is designed to accept a ramp and open top. We just do not yet have the means to produce these but these features have been designed into 2.0 so at a later date it will accept the add-on. It is our goal to make the litter box comfortable and effective for all cats and humans. How fast we are able to provide these add-ons will be determined by the support we receive in pre-orders 🙂 Either way, eventually we will have means to make it comfortable even for arthritic senior cats!

As the hooman caregivers to 6 rescues (more if my better half would allow), we have ages from 3.5 through almost 17yo so the senior attachment and others mentioned would be most welcome. We’re doing our best to provide for as many as can given our space and finances so…
