It’s going to be a snuggle fest this weekend in Los Angeles! Today through Sunday, you’ll have a chance to sip coffee and pet cats at a pop-up cat cafe! This project is being organized by CatFe, which aims to be LA’s first permanent cat cafe. They are currently running a Kickstarter campaign to build the permanent cafe and this week’s event will give everyone a little taste of what’s to come. The pop-up cat cafe will feature adoptable kitties from Best Friends Animal Society, so you might even meet a new furry family member while you’re there!

Pet lifestyle retailer Pussy & Pooch will host a mini pop-up shop with a curated selection of cat treats, toys, books, gifts, and stylish cat accessories by Hauspanther and Catfe sponsor Pioneer Pet. Entertainment will feature meowsome sounds by Lolita Dark.

Hours are from 4 to 9 pm Thursday through Sunday at the Far East Plaza in Chinatown. Admission is free, or VIP packages guaranteeing date, time, priority line access and more, are available for $30 and $125. All proceeds from the event will go to the Catfe Kickstarter campaign.
